2. Jia “jiadota” Hui

Jia, or jiadota as she is known on Twitch, is a 5th position player from Singapore. Among the best female Dota 2 players, she is the only other person to have managed to climb above 9,000 MMR. She did this in 2021 while also studying Materials Engineering. Quite impressive!

Born in 1998, Jia has played Dota since 2011/2012. In Dota 2, she has more than 15,000 matches under her belt. About 20% of these make up Crystal Maiden, Witch Doctor, and Ogre Magi, but she claims to also love playing Bounty Hunter and Winter Wyvern.

While Jia plays in competitive tournaments at times, she has no team and has not won any money from Dota 2. She treats it as a hobby only, at least for now. In game, you can find her nicking “huh?”.

3. Bi “Axx” Xia

Bi is a professional Dota 2 girl from China who’s popular on Chinese streaming platforms. She goes by Axx in game and mainly plays off-lane.

One of her biggest achievements is competing in the open qualifiers of the ESL One Los Angeles Major. She did so in 2020 together with Team Blaze after two of the team’s original players had to sit out. Here, she contributed to knocking out the top-ranked PSG.LGD, truly proving that she’s one of the best female Dota 2 players around.

While her MMR has been a rollercoaster over the years, she did peak at 8,000 in 2020, grabbing the 121st spot on the Chinese ladder.

4. Hishiko “Monster” Tsuyuri

With an MMR peaking at 7,900, Hishiko is a competitive Dota 2 player who has proven to be among the best females in the world. She streams her matches on Twitch and while she does, she has no time paying attention to chat as her mind is set to win.

Born in 1997 in Malaysia, Hishiko is not only a top Dota 2 player, but also the country manager for Team Secret. Her favorite heroes are Invoker, Queen of Pain and Windranger, and her preferable spot to play is position 2. However, she also plays support quite a bit with Crystal Maiden being her most played hero.

Hishiko has played and won multiple low-tier tournaments, such as FSL, Lenovo Legion and FSL Solo.

5.  Arya “Dimplesdota”

Canadian-born Arya who goes by the nickname “Dimplesdota” is an ambitious profile that started playing Dota all the way back in 2008. She peaked at an MMR of 7275 in 2021, earning her a spot as one of the best female Dota 2 players to date.

Among her achievements is two additional 3rd place finishes in AEF Dota League Season 2 and 3, as well as winning the Australian 1v1 Summer Cup.

Magic’s best MMR to date is 7,100 which she reached in 2022. She prefers playing position 1 and 5 although she’s flexible and can play any. Her favorite heroes include Phantom Assassin, Juggernaut, Terror Blade, Dark Willow, Spectre and Queen of Pain.

7. Stephanie “Auroraa” Lim

Malaysian-born Stephanie is a try-hard Dota 2 girl that has played professionally for the all-girls team Grills Gaming and who regularly plays in low-tier, competitive tournaments. She prefers playing position 2 with Mirana, Invoker and Queen of Pain being three of her favorite heroes. However, she also loves Rubick which she mostly plays as support.

Stephanie goes by many names in public games, but most often uses Auroraa which is the nick she has managed to reach immortal status with. However, unlike our previously listed Dota 2 females, she is yet to reach an MMR of 7,000.

8. Marielle “Layla” Louise

Playing for “Wheel Wreck While Whistling”, Layla was the first female Dota 2 player to compete in a major qualifier for a Valve event. On her resumé, she also has a third-place finish in the 12th season of the North American joinDOTA league, which earned her $107.

Marielle lives in Canada and mainly contributes to Dota 2 matches as a support player. While her MMR is unknown, she has reached immortal and has an impressive win ratio of 66% over 8300 matches. Her in-game nickname is “breaking point”.

Mira is also the sister to “Rudy” and “Feero” who were and are two professional Dota 2 players. With the game running in the family, it’s no wonder that Mira ended up as one of the best female Dota 2 players in the world.

Mira commonly goes by “Ephey” in game and has reached immortal status. She prefers playing position 4 and 5 and has more than twice as many games played with Earth Spirit as any other hero.

10. Bette ”Istarx” Chia

Istarx is a high-skilled Dota 2 female from Malaysia who has been playing Dota 2 for over 15,000 hours. She has participated in multiple tournaments with her team Grills Gaming, which is considered to be one of the best female Dota 2 teams around.

While this team has been on and off over the years, they won Gold in the Commonwealth Esports Championships in August 2022, bringing attention to the female Dota 2 scene. Istarx’s accomplishments also include a first-place finish at the 2016 FSL Season 4.

Istarx is familiar with the playstyle of various heroes, but some of her top-played ones are Queen of Pain, Mirana, and Invoker. Her MMR rank is around 5200, which is an MMR she seems to be stuck on, never making it to immortal status.

11. Gunn ”Bububu” Kristin

Bububu was born in Norway in 1995 and is a popular Twitch streamer. She has an audience of more than 95,000 followers that she regularly entertains by showing off her female Dota 2 skills. She has played more than 16,500 games, which is quite impressive.

Bububu either plays position 2 or 3 and absolutely loves playing Windranger. She has about as many matches played with this hero as the next top three ones combined; Mirana, Lina and Phantom Assassin.

12. Lucy “Yculstranger” Teehee

Mainly playing position 3 and 5, New Zealand-born Lucy occasionally participates in low-tier competitive events, such as FSL (Female Esports League) and AEF (Australian Esports Federation). Along with an immortal status, this makes her one of the top females in Dota 2. However, similar to Bububu, she struggles to maintain an MMR over 6,000.

Commonly known as Yculstranger, Lucy plays a wide variety of heroes, such as Disruptor, Enigma, Lion, Witch Doctor, Keeper of the Light and Crystal Maiden. None is really favored over another.

Born in the Netherlands in 1985, Sheever is often considered to be one of the best female Dota 2 players. Even though her MMR is quite low (Legend 4 as of 2022), she has played over 12,000 matches.

Since 2012, Sheever is also a famous caster, host and interviewer. She has appeared as a host in numerous international and national Dota 2 tournaments. This has given her a ton of professional knowledge when it comes to gameplay.

Sheever’s passion for gaming started with Warcraft III and got really serious with World of Warcraft. But once Dota 2 was released, she made the switch. Her favorite heroes include Dazzle, Crystal Maiden, Venomancer and Mirana.
